Life Saver Mesh Pool Fencing

Life Saver Mesh Pool Fencing

A family owned and operated company, Life Saver Pool Fence Systems, Inc. got its start 30 years ago, back in 1987. Today, the company is one of the biggest names in pool safety fences. It’s become even more prominent in the past decade, thanks to a significant 2011 merger. Mostly, Life Saver is known for designing and manufacturing high-quality mesh safety fences.

Location and Availability of Life Saver Mesh Safety Fences

The origin of Life Saver Pool Fence Systems can be traced back to Delray Beach, Florida. It is still family owned and operated and based in Delray Beach to this day. However, Life Saver pool barriers have also been adopted by homeowners throughout the country and around the world.

Indeed, according to the Life Saver website, the company manufactures all its products in the United States but has distributors spread out across five continents and 15 countries. Most of those distributors are here in North America. Life Saver says it has distributors situated “in most major cities” in the United States. However, the company has also established a significant presence in Canada and Mexico, as well as overseas in Europe, Asia and throughout the Middle East.

Life Saver Pool Fence Systems is dedicated to providing the finest products and the best service to each of its markets. Over the years, the company has paid close attention to the varying building code standards and pool safety regulations throughout the United States and in other countries where customers rely on Life Saver mesh safety fences. Because of this vigilance, Life Saver consistently exceeds standards everywhere it does business.

Life Saver’s Pool Safety Distinctions

Life Saver holds several patents and distinctions that make it one of the most notable pool fencing companies in the United States. The company also merged with Pool Barrier—once a very sizable pool fencing company in its own right—in 2011. The acquisition extended Life Saver’s reach, resources, and product line, and made it perhaps the single most significant pool fencing company in the world.

Today, Life Saver’s strengths include multiple safety fence products that incorporate Textilene and QuadStitch mesh fabrics for superior strength and durability. These types of mesh that Life Saver uses, which provide outstanding durability, strength, and weather resistance are one of the key factors that sets Life Saver apart from its competition. Quadstitch is the bordering that holds Life Saver’s mesh fences together. It is made from marine-grade thread and allows Life Saver to reinforce parts of its barriers to improve upon Textilene’s already superb strength rating of 387 pounds per square inch.

In addition to these components, Life Saver also offers other features and inclusions, such as triple-reinforced fencing poles, self-closing and self-latching gates, and ultraviolet protection, to prevent sun damage to mesh fencing. The self-closing and self-latching features especially help make Life Saver’s removable mesh pool gates comparable to equivalent products from Guardian Pool Fence Systems.

Life Saver’s influence in the pool fencing market extends even beyond its brand name. The company has four brands that exist separately from Life Saver Pool Fence, including Pool Barrier, Pool Fence Pro, PoolFenceDIY, and Pool Corral. These brands further expand the reach and industry knowledge of Life Saver.

Life Saver also has the distinction of being a significant player in the conversation about overall children’s pool safety. The company’s slogan is “Keeping Little Feet on Solid Ground.” Additionally, Life Saver is the only pool fencing company in the United States that is considered a “Safety Leader” by the Pool Safely national public education program, which is operated by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The Drawbacks

Life Saver pool fences tend to receive across-the-board rave reviews from customers and product testers alike. If there is one drawback, it might be that Life Saver pool barriers require aluminum or plastic sleeves to be installed directly into the surface of your pool deck. Sometimes, customers shopping for removable pool fences want to avoid adding holes or any other cosmetic defects to their deck surfaces. They want to be able to remove the pool fence when their kids get old enough that they no longer need the extra protection. Life Saver pool fences can be quickly removed if necessary, but the sleeves or sleeve holes remain. By contrast, there are Guardian pool fences available that don’t require holes or sleeves and can, therefore, be removed without a trace.
